It's 8:35 and my I've alreay spent 10.00 and in one place, Starbucks. I purchase a Grande Caramel Macchiato, Spinach and Feta Wrap, Vanilla Cupcake (for later, which I didn't need, but could not resist) and 1.00 tip. So I believe I walled out with 0.15.

I have just got a pay rise so now its $40 a week which means that I can now have more Havanas! Yay, go me
Alrighty. I won't bother ya'll with excuses. I'm back to $10 a day. I knew I had to get back on the wagon, but what made it painfully clear is my most recent paycheck (from today). I have new deductions taken out, due to my cleaning up my act (tax-wise/401k-wise/flex-spending-wise). With the changes, my new check is 25% lower than my old one. With rent at 50% of my (new) check and preschool tuition at about 21% of my (new check), budgeting is EXTREMELY important for the next month year forever. Now, I could be wrong about the math. I suck at it. But I'm out a pretty penny. I'm also going to try to prepare a budget (again) for the expenses that are necessary. As for the daily stuff, $10/day it is!
There are a few changes that will take effect immediately. Take BART, don't drive. I just got my car back after an unfortunate hiatus and now I'm paying parking + gas, which is approximately $55 a week. I get BART vouchers from work and I haven't been using them for the past month. Time to get back on my commuter game. Plus, it's greener. Duh.
So, with the exception of the Taco Bell* and a parking lot fee I just paid (it was after I paid that, I thought 'ok... NOW I need to get back to my $10/day.' Coincidentally, my grilled stuffed chicken burrito doesn't taste as good with tears from crying about money in it. I'm crying into my burrito! HA! "I'd like to order a remorseful burrito. Extra pity-party. Oh. And a side of depression!"
The breakdown for 2/15/08
- toll to pick up neice - $4.00
It's not the end of the day. The true expenses will be tallied at the end of the day. I hope to keep it at $4 so I can bag $6 and put that into savings. Whoooo (ugh).
Thanks to the folks who posted here. I've been a bad group leader. Four lashes with a wet noodle for me, as a co-worker disgustingly puts it. I'm back. For a good, long while. Or until I hit the lotto.
More to follow.

I realized that I didn't post for December my purty pie chart, but here's the year end one. Over all, I'm still paying down debt (paid off another card in January!) and, while not saving anything, am not completely busted either. Though I probably should wait until after the dental crowns and car maintenance that I need to have done before I really say that.
For those interested. It was a bad month, mostly because of the house stuff that I purchased and the doctor's visits and scripts (which fall under the misc category, but I'm considering making them their own). The bar expenses were down from last month, as were the restaurant outlays and Walgreen's (they still own my ass though).
